Painting is a daily occurrence in our house, both Bubble and Squeak love it and it is by far their favourite activity. It isn't uncommon to find them both eating breakfast with one hand and painting with the other.
I'm always looking for ways to add a sensory dimension to their play and this mornings fruit scraps added just that - smell, texture and visual 'appeal' (sorry, really couldn't resist ;-D).
WE USED:
* orange and banana peel
* paint
* brushes
* paper

What a fun idea, I imagine older children could cut the peel into shapes themselves and make prints :)
ReplyDeleteWe did this today! I was making a big salad for two families and thought of your post. We used the ends of the lettuce heads as they make a flower like print.
ReplyDeleteI have seen so many ideas for painting but this one was very unique, thanks!
