Don't throw out your old phone books! They can be used for so many things before they are recycled;
* perfect for making paper mache
* use for making lightweight kites and paper aeroplanes
* Create a flower press by placing sheets of baking paper between stacks of books.
* Put the sheets through the shredder and fill a box or small paddling pool with the shredded paper for a fun sensory play activity.
* Use the sheets to clean windows and mirrors - my girls love doing this with a spray bottle of diluted vinegar.
* make some origami, phone book sheets are great for this as they are so thin.
* get out some scissors and sticky tape and turn the pages into outfits for dolls and Barbies.
* paint and draw in them like we did today :-)
